Write the part bar by bar — sections, repeats, time signature and subdivision — then publish it to the library or keep it as a draft.

The part will appear in the library with its own page and your name. If the song is already there, this will be another version.

How to write a part

  1. Select a bar in the notation below and it opens in the grid. Click the cells: the first click adds a hit, the next ones change its type (open hi-hat, ghost note, accent, cross-stick), and the last one removes it.
  2. “Add bar” and “Duplicate bar” add bars; “Copy” and “Paste” move a pattern. Keys: ← → — previous or next bar, Ctrl+C / V — copy and paste a bar.
  3. Label the song sections (“Verse”, “Chorus”) and mark the repeats: “Repeat start”, and “Repeat ×N” in the last bar of the passage.
  4. Check it by ear: press “Play” below and the cursor follows the notes.
