How to write a part
- Select a bar in the notation and it opens in the bar editor below. Click the cells: the first click adds a hit, the next ones change its type (open hi-hat, ghost note, accent, cross-stick), and the last one removes it.
- “Add bar” and “Duplicate” on the right add bars; “Copy” and “Paste” move a pattern. Keys: ← → — previous or next bar, Ctrl+C / V — copy and paste a bar, Ctrl+Z — undo, Ctrl+Shift+Z — redo.
- Label the song sections (“Verse”, “Chorus”) and mark the repeats: “Repeat start”, and “Repeat ×N” in the last bar of the passage.
- Check it by ear: press “Play” on the toolbar or Space — the cursor follows the notes, and the bar editor shows the current step.
